The HelveticWind joint venture was founded in March 2010 by Energie Wasser Bern (ewb) and BKW Energie AG. EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland), EKZ Renewables Ltd and SN Erneuerbare Energie AG (SNEE) joined in January 2012.
The partners aim to implement a wind energy portfolio with a total capacity of 170 megawatts over the next few years.
ewb and BKW each hold 29% of the company's shares, EKZ Renewables just over 20% and EBL and SNEE just under 11% each.
The activities of HelveticWind will focus on Germany and Italy for the time being.
